We recently reported on a startup called Audiobus, which is looking to make it easier for music-makers copy and paste audio from one iOS app to another.
Well, it’s worth knowing that this kind of functionality is already available, and as of today is being used by one of our favourite squelchy-techno apps Figure.
Developer Propellerhead has added a feature called AudioCopy, which enables loops created in figure to be created into other apps compatible with the AudioPaste or iOS Pasteboard features.
That means Apple’s own GarageBand, as well as other popular music apps like Beatmaker, StudioTrack, MorphWiz and Looptastic.
Also new for figure: support for a technology called WIST, for synchronised jamming with other iOS devices running apps including ReBirth, iElectribe and Beatmaker.
