As the name makes clear, fitness is the focus, with an app designed to collect “the perfect music for your workout”. The idea is that people tell the app what exercise they’re planning to do, how long and how hard, and what artists they like, then FitList creates a playlist for them. Reebok is also providing playlists from some of the sports stars that it sponsors. The company worked with music tech firms The Echo Nest and Hunted Media on the app, which is getting its own flashing-LED-shoeboxes marketing push from Reebok, which will include promotion for Spotify itself.
