Social music game SongPop has launched a new in-game chat feature, while also announcing a milestone of 30m players. The game is available on Facebook, iOS and Android, and is published by FreshPlanet. The company announced the chat feature in an email to registered players, claiming it came from user suggestions. The figures are interesting though. “We want to extend our heartfelt thanks to all 30 million of you for being such awesome and dedicated players,” says the email. They aren’t all active, though. According to AppData, SongPop currently has 18.3m monthly active users (MAUs) and 4.2m daily active users (DAUs). AppData’s chart appears to show a flattening of growth for both metrics, though. Is SongPop about to peak?
