Spotify has secured another bundling deal with a big telco – this time Deutsche Telekom in Germany. The partnership kicks off today with two new mobile phone tariffs for DT’s customers. If they pay €29.95 a month, they get Spotify Premium plus calls, data and text messages – with Spotify exempt from the tariff’s data limits. If they pay €39.95 a month, they get a new smartphone thrown in too. Later this year, DT will start offering Spotify Premium as a €9.95 add-on for its broadband and mobile customers too. If DT gives the bundles a big push in its stores and marketing materials, they could have a significant impact on Spotify’s profile in Germany, which is one of the most crowded (and thus competitive) markets for streaming music in 2012. DT joins Spotify’s other European telco deals with Telia, Virgin Media, Yoigo, SFR and KPN. Next stop: US?
