There’s some interesting digital activity around Pines, the new album from A Fine Frenzy. Singer/songwriter Alison Sudol has released (through label Virgin Records) a 119-page e-book as a companion for the album. It costs $5.99, is being sold on Apple’s iBookstore, and features voice narration, audio and animation. “I couldn’t fit my whole story onto the record so I did this book,” she tells Mashable. What’s interesting is the backing that Sudol is getting from Apple. She’s playing an Apple Store gig, but the company’s official @iBookstore Twitter account also hosted a Twitter Q&A for Sudol and fans last night, while promoting the iTunes link for the book and album.
