British firm Digital Giving has launched a social music game for iOS and Android called Hum This! with some big-name partners: HMV, O2 and Ticketmaster. It’s a bit like Draw Something, but with humming, whistling or singing, as players have to hum along to songs, then send them to friends to guess what they are. There’s a global leaderboard, thousands of songs, and the option to buy in-app ‘Notes’ currency to unlock more content. The twist is that Digital Giving is a not-for-profit company, so 15% of the proceeds will be going to charity: War Child and Nordoff Robbins. “We believe that we can engage the world to play and fundraise, while elevating Cause-Related Entertainment to a new level,” says co-founder Grant Morgan.
