The Rolling Stones and WWE… together at last! No, Mick won’t be suplexing Keith into a coffin from the top of a cage before hitting him with a chair when the Stones play New Jersey in December. But the Stones have hired World Wrestling Entertainment for its expertise in pay-per-view broadcasts, selling access to the gig on 15 December. The news came as the band announced their 50th anniversary gigs – two in London and two in New York – with a swathe of deals around them. Digital plays a part too: Endemol will be managing international digital rights for the gigs promising “plans that will allow fans unprecedented interaction with the ’50 and Counting’ tour experience”, although the details are still under wraps.
