US startup StarMaker has bagged another big brand for its white-label karaoke app: The US version of TV talent-show The Voice. The new app is called The Voice: On Stage, promising “all your favorite hits sung by the top contestants on The Voice”, complete with properly licensed Auto-Tune technology. More than 150 songs are available to sing through the iOS app including tracks by Maroon 5, Adele, The Script, Coldplay and Lady Gaga, with players encouraged to sign up for a $1.99 weekly subscription to access the entire catalogue. Recordings can be shared via Facebook and Twitter. The launch comes just a couple of months after StarMaker released a similar app for American Idol (Bulletin, 23-Aug-12).
