If you’re involved in the mobile apps market, a new service called AppIQ by analytics firm Distimo may well be of interest. The idea: daily estimated download and revenue volumes for any iOS or Android app from Apple and Google’s app stores in 40 countries. There’s also a leaderboard ranking them all, along with app stores from Amazon, RIM, Nokia, Samsung and Microsoft. Pricing starts at €99 a month for one user tracking one store in two countries, rising to €2,899 a month for a Platinum level subscription tracking two stores in 50 countries, and a ‘please enquire’ level for company-wide access. All the figures are Distimo’s estimates, but in a market starved of hard download and revenue figures, AppIQ should find a willing audience.
