Streaming playlists app Songza launched in Canada 70 days ago as a mobile/tablet app, and it’s already reached the 1m downloads milestone. This follows the service’s successful pivot into an app in the US earlier this year, when it signed up 1m new users in 10 days, and another 2m in the months since according to TechCrunch. The company isn’t talking about its revenues or exact user figures according to TechCrunch, but the AppData social analytics gives some insight. Based on Facebook stats, Songza has 760k monthly active users and 140k daily active users, although both those figures have remained static over the last month, indicating a high level of churn. Necessary caveat: these figures only cover Songza users who’ve connected the app to their Facebook accounts.
