Congratulations to Edwyn Collins for his Outstanding Contribution award at last night’s AIM awards in London. Collins is celebrating with a takeover of eMusic UK this week, including an interview, reviews, interviews with artists that he likes, and a selection of his favourite 13 albums on eMusic. It’s the latest example of eMusic working with an artist or music figure on this kind of takeover, with Collins following Bjork, DJ Steve Lamacq and John Lydon. The company is promising more ahead “to bring members closer to those artists who really define the genre they represent”.
