Earlier this month, we reported on Kid Rock ending his long-time iTunes holdout, with new album ‘Rebel Soul’ getting a release on Apple’s digital music store amid claims that the star could “no longer ignore how much money he was leaving on the table”. We half-expected this to be the latest iTunes-exclusive, but it seems not: the album has also been added to streaming services Spotify and Deezer – we’re guessing others too – along with his 2012 album ‘Born Free’ and 2007’s ‘Rock N Roll Jesus’. It’s interesting, though, as some other artists who’ve relented in their digital holdouts – AC/DC most recently – have opted for downloads and not streaming.
