This is one of those apps that pops up on Apple’s App Store without an obvious clue whether it’s legit, or just a canny unofficial app drawing on the artist’s feeds. The App Store text – “The mobile app from Kasabian featuring Test Transmission, AAA and The Sergery” – certainly implies that it’s official, but we’re experienced enough to reserve judgement. Of those three main features, Test Transmission appears to be a feed of the band’s social network updates, AAA looks like Instagram pics and YouTube videos, and The Sergery is sucking down new uploads to the band’s official SoundCloud account. The promise of “immediate access to breaking news, tickets on-sale, music, exclusive competitions and the facillity to interact with
the band at live shows in real time” makes it sound kosher, though. The app is free to download.
