Shifting sands in label-land mean we’re likely to see a number of executives poached by digital music services in the coming months. 7digital is already on the case, announcing yesterday that Raoul Chatterjee is its new senior vice president of music. He joins from Warner Music, where he was SVP in the label group’s commercial division, while before that he worked at Trinity Street Direct and Ministry of Sound. Chatterjee will now be overseeing 7digital’s relationships with labels, publishers, managers and artists. “Music will obviously remain at the heart of future products and international expansion, and I’m looking forward to firmly establishing 7digital’s name as the leading open digital music platform,” he says in a statement.
