Rihanna’s new album ‘Unapologetic’ has been sparking plenty of debate online in recent days, mainly for its controversial inclusion of a duet with Chris Brown.
Now it’s making waves in digital music circles due to the album’s non-appearance, so far, on streaming music services.
Digital Music News makes this a story about Spotify, but a quick check this morning reveals it’s not available on Deezer, Rhapsody or Rdio either, although it’s available as an a la carte purchase on WiMP.
Released last week, ‘Unapologetic’ is currently topping the US albums chart with 238k sales in that country. Its lead single ‘Diamonds’ IS available on streaming services, so it remains to be seen how soon the full album will follow it.
And yes, in traditional style we’ve checked other sources: ‘Unapologetic’ is available to stream in full on Grooveshark and YouTube, with minimum digging.
