Soon we’ll need a blog-aggregator aggregator to aggregate all the blog aggregators. Possibly. Hype Machine and Shuffler.fm are the most high-profile examples of sites pulling the latest tracks from a host of music blogs, but US startup Beastmode.fm is hoping to compete with them. It provides a stripped-down interface to play songs, mark them as favourites, subscribe to specific blogs and share details of tracks to various social networks. PandoDaily reports that Beastmode is pulling in tracks from SoundCloud, YouTube, MixCloud and Pitchfork, as well as 2,200 music blogs. It currently works as a website on computers and mobile devices, but an Android app is on the way, with iOS following early next year. The business model? Affiliate fees from song purchases, which may be tough.
