Another day, another pair of digital music marketing deals involving Spotify. UK broadcaster Channel 4 has launched a Spotify app for its E4 channel, offering playlists of music from shows including Made in Chelsea, Misfits and Skins. It’s the first such partnership with a broadcaster for Spotify, and will see stars of E4 shows also curating their own playlists within the app. Digital agency The Connected Set developed the app for E4. The second deal is with Abba The Museum – the official museum of the band, which will open next Spring in Stockholm. Exact details haven’t been confirmed yet beyond plans “to integrate and extend the museum experience into Spotify”, as well as integrating Spotify into the museum. “Online music streaming is one of the reasons that Abba has a new young audience,” notes band member Björn Ulvaeus.
