Not just in a sense of ‘people checking in to clubs’, but in terms of its back-end features for the actual venues, SocialNightlife is a very interesting startup with shades of Foursquare. Based in Los Angeles, it’s billed as a “powerful tool for nightlife professionals and an innovative social networking solution for nightlife fans”. Features include managing guest lists and table reservations, drilling into analytics on club attendances, and creating “custom rewards” and event promotions to fill the dancefloor. On the consumer side, the SocialNightlife app will highlight nearby events, help people share photos and videos of their nights out, and offer those rewards set by the club owners. “The future of social media will be niche networks that have more B2B tools that help you run your business,” CEO Artin Nazarian tells PandoDaily.
