No, nothing to do with the band A-ha, although they are on Deezer… This is a partnership between the streaming music service and audio firm Harman around its Aha in-car entertainment system. Deezer will now be added to the Aha service, which is available in cars made by Porsche, Chrysler, Subaru, Honda and Acura, as well as device from Alpine, Pioneer and Kenwood. Deezer subscribers with an Aha-compatible system will be able to listen to their albums and playlists while driving, including cacheing the music on the device or streaming it over 3G or 4G. And of course, people can just use the Deezer app on their smartphones for in-car use if they want, but Harman is touting the safety aspect as a reason for integrating these services into the dashboard: “Music apps aren’t designed for safe use at 65 miles per hour,” as Aha’s Chia-Lin Simmons puts it. Deezer joins Slacker on the platform.
