Literally any story about Apple will get blogged and reblogged to infinity at the moment – yesterday even saw excitable rewrites of a Wall Street Journal blog post whose sole point was essentially ‘Apple is sending out a few more press releases than it used to’. See also the latest frenzy about Apple’s rumoured personal radio service, with the 9 to 5 Mac website uncovering secret buttons with radio antennas in their jailbroken iOS software. The buttons appear to have ‘buy’ in their filenames too, sparking speculation about a.) the service’s launch being imminent and b.) that the ‘buy’ thing could “imply exciting new functionality”. Presumably that would be buying songs from the iTunes Store. So it goes until any official announcement of the new service, with publisher deals thought to be the key delay, as we’ve previously reported. Still: icons, eh!
