AEI Media’s UKF dubstep and drum’n’bass brand has built a huge following on YouTube. Now it’s looking to mobile as the next frontier, with the release of an official UKF iPhone app.

Released as a free download on the App Store, the app streams uploads from UKF’s various channels, while also sucking down news from UKF’s website, ticketing from its live operation and products from its merchandise store.

The app should capitalise on UKF’s startling growth in recent years. In June 2012 it passed 1bn total views on YouTube (although listens is a more appropriate word, given the audio-only nature of most UKF videos).

Things have pushed on since then: the UKF Dubstep channel alone has more than 968m views and 2.8m subscribers, with UKF Drum & Bass adding another 315m views and 958k subscribers.
