Simfy was one of the first streaming music services to secure a licensing deal with German collecting society GEMA, and then to get traction in the country. Now it has relaunched its iPhone app, replacing the existing version which has been available since April 2010. Simfy Next, as the new app is called, looks a lot more attractive, with more images and recommendations from the company’s editorial team. Core features remain the same though, including the now-standard ability to download tracks and albums for offline listening. As with other services, the app requires a premium subscription to work.
