The You Generation was announced yesterday as a partnership between Syco Entertainment and YouTube. It’s more Got Talent than X Factor – musicians, but also magicians, photographers and even chefs will be competing. The idea is that people upload videos of their skills in a different category each week, with professionals judging them, and the YouTube masses watching on with interest. Well, that’s the hope. The contest is being pitched as a way to find the next Justin Bieber, unsurprisingly.
