Vevo has launched in another new country: the Netherlands. The music videos service is now offering more than 75k videos to Dutch users, with an emphasis (as ever) on local stars as well as international artists. “With a catalogue of premium music video programming grounded in Dutch favorites, VEVO hopes to contribute to the country’s rich music tradition,” says SVP international Nic Jones. Vevo says it already has buy-in from brands including Beslist, Citroen, Henkel AG & Co (Pattex), Imgroma, Ralph Lauren and Vodafone in the Netherlands. The launch comes just after separate news that Vevo’s EVP of sales and customer operations, David Kohl, has left the company. According to Billboard, Vevo is seeking a replacement, with the departure coming just weeks before the company’s 2 May NewFront presentation to advertisers.
