New research from Forrester suggests that adults in the UK spend more time online, spend more money online and own more devices than adults in the other EU5 nations (namely France, Germany, Italy and Spain). Some 83% of those aged 18+ in the UK go online at least once a month, 64% own a laptop, 52% own a smartphone and 12% own a tablet – outranking their European peers. Forrester also adds that the average shopper in the UK spent £204 online in the previous three months, the highest per-capita spend in the markets they surveyed. It added that French adults were the slowest to adapt to new technologies.
