Based on job postings and other leaked details, The Next Web is reporting that Spotify is close to launching in Mexico, Brazil and (unspecified) Asian markets. It is suggesting a debut in Singapore but rumours of a Japan launch have been swirling around for many months. Perhaps the most interesting future development can be gleaned from an update to its iOS app which not only adds support for Latin American Spanish but also, more significantly, Traditional Chinese. Is this intended for Traditional Chinese speakers in the 23 markets Spotify is already live in or is the company planning a full China launch? Watch this space.
