Finnish developer Supercell, which makes the Clash of Clans and Hay Day freemium games for iOS. The company made $179m of revenues in the first quarter of this year alone, and is currently generating $2.4m a day. The company has 8.5m daily active players, and in February raised $130m of VC funding valuing the company at $770m. This, for a company whose first iOS games were released in June 2012, although it had a couple of Facebook games before that which didn’t take off. Next up: expansion to Android, Asia and “probably” an IPO according to Forbes.
