Ah, The Kids, eh? Always finding new and interesting ways to caper about to repetitive beats. Or, as BoingBoing puts it in its post about the emerging phenomenon of algoraves: to music “wholly or predominantly characterised by the emission of a succession of repetitive conditionals”. Yes, algoraves are all about the algorithms: people dancing to code to make music by (or something). So the software is creating tunes on the fly for people to dance to, responding to their responses much like a DJ might. The video clip provided on the article shows the coding being projected onto a screen at a party, too. It sounds like a right old racket, but fun.
