Google+

Google+ is working its way into all of Google’s services, YouTube included. Now the company is encouraging YouTube creators to connect their channels with their Google+ pages, and get new features as a reward. Those features include the ability to add multiple managers to their channels, change their names and take advantage of live broadcasts via Hangouts. We expect many creators to take advantage of the linking option. In separate news, YouTube has also launched a new “Maximise Your Channel course” to help creators – and all of this applies to artists and labels – make the most of its new YouTube One Channel design. The aim of the free course is to “help you attract more subscribers and viewers, and give you the opportunity to freshen up your own channel while you learn”. It kicks off on 3 June 2013.
