Digital distributor TuneCore has hit a new milestone: $300m paid out to artists who use its service. That’s up from $250m at the end of 2012, meaning TuneCore is paying out $10m a month in digital royalties at the moment. That’s based on more than 3bn cumulative streams and downloads of its artists’ tracks, up from 1.8bn at the end of 2012 – and thus currently running at 240m streams and downloads a month.
