Digital content firm LoveLive has acquired one of its US peers, Show Cobra, as part of a push into North America. Both companies specialise in producing music-related video for online and broadcast use, including concert livestreams and branded content. Show Cobra has worked for the likes of Beyoncé, Eminem, The Black Keys and Vampire Weekend, while LoveLive has Adele, Florence + The Machine, McFly, Madonna and Rihanna on its clients list. Its official YouTube channel also has more than 130k subscribers. “The breadth and depth of the team’s exceptional capabilities to execute projects across formats, production and live streaming will be of huge benefit to our IP creation, ownership and exploitation worldwide,” says LoveLive CEO Richard Cohen. The company also says the acquisition will help it expand its UK partnership with Universal Music to the US.
