Daft Punk may have gone with iTunes for the pre-release stream of their ‘Random Access Memories’ album, but now they’re showing a little love for Spotify. The streaming service has a week-long exclusive on the band’s own 10-minute remix of their ‘Get Lucky’ single, while also announcing that the original version has been streamed more than 64m times on Spotify since its release in April. It’s a hint that while Apple may continue to bag the big pre-release exclusives, there are other crumbs for streaming services to scramble for in the weeks after an album comes out, as part of the wider promotional campaign.
