A couple of years ago, Shazam raised $32m from Silicon Valley VC firms to fund its expansion beyond music into TV and advertising. Now it’s taking another $40m of investment, this time from Latin American telco America Movil. The funding comes with Shazam now boasting 70m monthly active users, having been used by more than 350m people since its launch in 2002.
