We wrote about Twickets earlier this year: it started as a Twitter account to help fans resell unwanted gig tickets to other fans at cost price, then launched an app. Now it’s growing in prominence thanks to a partnership with Mumford & Sons’ upcoming Gentlemen Of The Road Stopover festival in Lewes. Twickets will be the festival’s ‘official ticket resale partner’, fitting in with the folk band’s desire to make reselling a more-ethical process. “We do what we can to keep tickets out of the hands of scalpers and away from secondary ticket sites. What we don’t want to do is stop legitimate fans legitimately selling their ticket at face value to another fan if they can’t make the gig for whatever reason,” says the band’s manager Adam Tudhope. “Using Twickets for our Lewes Stopover is our first foray into finding a suitable way for fans with tickets to find fans who need tickets.”
