A new daily chart of trending tracks “on the web radio” called FindStream. It’s scanning playlists from more than 27k online stations, and turning them into playable charts not a million miles away from what We Are Hunted used to do. This isn’t just a consumer service, though: FindStream is aiming to be just as useful for artists, managers, labels and performing rights bodies – anyone with an interest in tracking what songs are being played online for “planning marketing campaigns, concerts and tracking royalty payments”. It claims to be tracking 2m daily plays on average, and has been launched by Russian firm Balakam.
