shoutabl

Shoutabl is the latest ‘social network for artists’, founded by two former executives at news site Huffington Post, one of whom also sings for a band named The Dismemberment Plan. “Shoutabl is three things, more or less, all of which artists desperately need in 2013,” explains a blog post from the founders. “It is an easy way to set up a website; it is a social network that connects artists to each other and their fans; and it is a commerce platform.” The site is currently in invite-only beta mode, with plans for a public launch later in 2013. The closest competition looks to be Bandcamp, which has recently been adding a social layer to its artist e-commerce tools.
