Sony Pictures is running an ambitious ‘One Month of One Direction’ campaign to promote the band’s new ‘This Is Us’ film, with plenty of digital elements. There’s a remixable trailer produced with WeVideo for fans to create and share their own trailers for the film; a global scavenger hunt on Shazam that kicks off on 22 August, enabling fans to tag 1D tracks to get clues to unlock an exclusive clip; a global listening party hosted on Spotify on 25 August; sweepstakes on film service Fandango; and live webcasts of the UK and US premieres. The hub for all this activity is the official website an related social media accounts, where fans can also find an official meme creator, GIF timeline and all manner of downloads to customise their own social media profiles.
