QR codes and augmented reality are old hat. It’s all about RFID chips stuck under the skin that can only be activated via a smartphone. Anthony Antonellis, an artist, had the chip with an antenna implanted to “store and display net art” that, when activated with a phone held a few centimeters away, displays a unique animated GIF. Countdown until someone tries to work out a music marketing angle to this. Warning: the accompanying video is not for the squeamish.
