Just what no one ordered – another mobile operating system. That was a little facetious, actually. Handset manufacturer HTC is reportedly developing its own OS specifically for the Chinese market and that it will be optimised for Chinese mobile apps such as the Twitter-like Sina Weibo. It is not clear for now if the OS will be proprietary or built on top of Android. The move has been read as HTC looking to increase its market share in China.
