Disney announced earlier this year that it would be working with Vevo on new projects, but now the details have emerged. Several divisions of Disney are involved: Disney Interactive, Hollywood Records and Radio Disney. And according to Billboard, they’re working with Vevo to launch a portal blending Vevo videos with content for Disney’s own artists and shows. It’s being pitched as “the definitive music site for families, kids and tweens”, with plans for original music programming and coverage from premieres and concerts in the future. The Vevo partnership means it won’t just be Disney artists featuring on the portal though: Billboard’s piece mentions Taylor Swift, Katy Perry and One Direction as likely to feature.
