
Busy times at British startup Playlists.net, which has just revamped its iOS app with new features including the ability to upload playlists and custom artwork, and pin them to specific real-world locations. “The playlist pinning is just like Foursquare,” CEO Kieron Donoghue tells TechCrunch. “So when you’re using the app you select a playlist then select ‘Pin’ which then brings up a list of nearby locations (we use the Foursquare API for this) and you can choose to allocate a playlist to that location.” The new app also provides easier tools for people to navigate their way through the company’s database of 145k playlists, while highlighting its weekly charts and new-release sections.
