European ticketing firm Ticketscript announced some milestones yesterday: 10m tickets sold for a value of £200m since its launch in 2006. The company helps event organisers and venues sell their own tickets, with clients including Ministry of Sound, ADE, Field Music and Brighton & Hove Pride in the music world. Business is picking up, too: 33% of those 10m tickets have been sold in 2013 so far, for a value of £55m. “We fundamentally believe that if organisers have full control over their data, their events will see an increase in ticket sales, community and revenue,” said CEO Frans Jonker in a statement. Mobile and Facebook are both factors in Ticketscript’s current growth, with mobile sales up 121% in the last year, and traffic to Ticketshop via Facebook having doubled.
