comScore has published its latest stats for online video sites in the US, with YouTube topping its chart as ever with 165.4m unique viewers in September who watched 16.2bn videos. Vevo took sixth spot in the list with just under 49m unique viewers watching 617.4m videos. comScore breaks out a separate chart of YouTube Partner Channels (or MCNs, as we’d know them) where Vevo comes top with just over 47m unique viewers watching 587m videos. In other words, comScore is suggesting that 96% of Vevo’s US viewers and 95% of its views are coming through YouTube. Insert the usual caveats here about whether comScore is tracking Vevo across all platforms correctly: Vevo said earlier this year that 50% of its monthly US views are now coming from mobile, tablet and connected TV apps rather than the web. comScore’s chart also provides numbers for the YouTube channels of Warner Music Group (25.4m viewers and 149.3m views in September), The Orchard (21.6m / 89.2m) and Universal Music Group (16m / 54m).
