Today’s the day that Lady Gaga’s new album ARTPOP is made available to users of the O2 Tracks service in the UK, but what about elsewhere in the world? Apple appears to have bagged the exclusive in the US, with Gaga tweeting a link to a First Play: Lady Gaga, ARTPOP station on iTunes Radio a couple of hours ago. It’s the latest big album to stream pre-release on Apple’s personal radio service, following recent releases from Justin Timberlake and Eminem. In separate news, though, Gaga appears to have split from her longtime manager Troy Carter. The Hollywood Reporter cites multiple sources as saying the pair are no longer working together, with the cause suggested as “creative differences”, with Carter sad but “liberated” by the split. Nobody’s commenting officially for now. Carter was thought to be one of the prime movers behind plans for the ARTPOP album-app, which is due to be released next week.
