Two triggers that make Music Ally realise Christmas is coming: an aisle of singing plastic Christmas trees in our local branch of Wilkinsons, and a flurry of press releases about musicians to watch in the next year. We can tick both boxes this week: in the latter case, Vevo has got in early by announcing the 10 artists who make up its DSCVR Ones To Watch 2014 promotion. Chloe Howl, Dan Croll, Ella Eyre, George Ezra, Sam Smith, Hobbie Stuart, Joel Compass, Mø, Temples and Thumpers are the 10 chosen artists, who’ll be featured in a series of interviews and acoustic sets on Vevo during November and December, focusing on two every week. “We hope that it will become a permanent feature in Vevo’s annual original content schedule, alongside our more established programs such as Lift and Vevo Presents,” said director of programming Tom Connaughton.
