Bob-Dylan-005

It’s 48 years since the release of Bob Dylan’s ‘Like a Rolling Stone’, so isn’t it time the track got an official video? Music and tech blogs alike have been rhapsodising overnight about the song’s new interactive video, which gets fans to channel-flip between 16 US TV channels – with the stars/presenters on each mysteriously lip-synching the lyrics to the song. The video has been launched to promote the latest Bob Dylan box-set, and is a partnership with Israeli startup Interlude, who we first wrote about a couple of years ago (Bulletin, 24-Nov-11). It’s the company’s highest-profile interactive video yet. On the Dylan front, meanwhile, this is just the latest digital campaign following the Bob Dylan Bootlegs app (Bulletin, 7-Oct-13) and the location-based ‘Sound Graffiti’ mobile website (Bulletin, 12-Sep-12).
