Twitter’s Vine video-sharing service started out as an iPhone app, before expanding to Android. Now it’s getting a full web version where users can log in to see their home feed and like, comment and share videos, while also browsing the profiles of other users. “Be sure to check out a new feature we’ve added exclusively on the web: TV Mode – it’s an entirely new way to watch Vine videos,” explained Vine engineer Janessa Det in a blog post. “Click the TV Mode button in the upper right corner of your feed or any profile to view the collection of videos in sequence and in full screen mode. This release is just a first step toward bringing you a richer, more enjoyable web experience. We look forward to introducing more improvements in 2014.” This is all useful for musicians using Vine to reach their fans, as well as the booming market in Vine compilation accounts, which are tailor-made for the TV mode.
