Transmitter, the YouTube channel that is backed by the BPI, launched its new weekly stream chart show yesterday – called Live@5 (the name “5 Alive” was already taken back in the 1980s by the popular juice drink brand). It will collate its data from the Official Charts Company and it will be a standalone chart (with the OCC’s main charts still based entirely on sales). James Hill, the presenter, promises audience interaction, studio guests and (most chillingly) karaoke.
