Justin Bieber’s Baby? Well, he has been going off the rails… Oh, the song. Yes, Vevo has announced a new milestone for ‘Baby’, which before ‘Gangnam Style’ came along was one of the most viral YouTube videos in history. The song passed 1bn official views this week, making it the only video to be 10x certified across Vevo – the scheme that rewards every 100m views on the platform. ‘Baby’ accounts for  a third of Bieber’s total YouTube views, via his official Vevo account, and his online video popularity dwarfs his 15m career album sales. 1bn views is a mighty milestone for a single video though: by comparison, Miley Cyrus’ ‘Wrecking Ball’ is currently at 554m views, J-Lo and Pitbull’s ‘On the Floor’ stands at 733m. However, PSY’s horse-dancing opus remains top dog with 1.9bn views since its release in July 2012.
