Lyric licensing company LyricFind has added BandPage integration that allows artists to include tour information, links to their D2C stores and biographies alongside lyric requests from the former’s partner sites. Those these numerous partners, LyricFind delivers 5bn licensed lyric requests a year which shows the potential scale of the opportunity here – especially as over half a million acts use BandPage in their marketing and promotion. “Music fans search for lyrics on Google more than anything else in the music space and fans that search for lyrics usually represent an individual that is a super-fan of the artist they searched for,” said J Sider, BandPage’s CEO and founder, in a statement. “We should see higher conversion rates through these stores and for these tour dates than the typical ways of reaching and monetising fans.” Last December, Live Nation started integrating artists’ BandPage profiles into its web and mobile sites. This followed similar BandPage deals earlier in 2013 with Xbox Music, Vevo and Rhapsody.
